I have installed HP LaserJet M1005 in my PC which has come pre installed version Windows 8 64Bit. I want to remove the printer from my PC. I have tried all the possibilities and options available in Control Panel and device Manager. The Printer Status says it is removing but actually it is not.

I have removed all printer drivers and yet my quickbooks program finds 5 copies of the printer to select.
Several of them are copies of printer drivers.
The do all have different IP addresses in the drivers but that seems to be the only difference.
None of them will actually print to the printer since it is at a different IP address.
Does any one know how to clean this up.

Firstly I would suggest you to uninstall the drivers from the device manager, please follow the steps below:
Click on start type in devmgmt.msc in search box, hit enter right click on the printer drivers from the list of devices and click on uninstall. And restart the computer.
Once you restart the computer, you can download the latest drivers from the manufacturer s website install the same on the computer. please follow the link mentioned below to download the drivers.

Once you install the drivers on the computer, then you may have to restart the Printer Spooler service.
A print spooler is software that temporarily stores print jobs on the computer hard disk or in memory until the printer is ready to print them.
Please follow the steps below:
You must be logged on as an administrator to perform these steps.
1. Open Administrative Tools by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type administrative tools, and then click Administrative Tools.
2. Double-click Services. If you re prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
3. Right-click the Print Spooler service, and then click Properties.
4. On the General tab, next to Startup type, make sure that Automatic is selected.
